Since most of the Pain & Wellness senior staff come from academic institutions with many years of experience in training and research, our Centre welcomes trainees from Universities and accredited health institutions (medical students, chiropractic students and residents/ trainees in Family practice or other specialties). After all, it is of paramount importance that young health providers are trained to view and assess one’s condition from a “whole person perspective”. We will always ask you whether you consent to allow trainees to attend your history and physical examination. If you choose not to, this will not affect your treatment in any way.

Our electronic medical records have been created in such a way that information can be extracted anonymously and analyzed. It is very important that we have ways to demonstrate whether our treatments are making a difference in patients’ quality of life. When first seen, patients are asked to indicate whether they consent to the use of some of their data (always anonymously in order to protect privacy and confidentiality). If they don’t consent, this will not affect their treatment in any way. If they do, our results will be published in medical journals and also communicated via our website and newsletters addressed to pain patients and the public
