Louisa Mailis


Louisa Mailis is the Director and Facilitator of the Mindfulness program at the Pain and Wellness Centre.

She is a certified Life Coach, Mindfulness Educator, and Meditation Teacher. She received a BA and MA from York University and a Masters of Education. Louisa has a certificate degree for Applied Mindfulness and Meditation at the University of Toronto and is also a trained facilitator in Mindfulness-Based Chronic Pain Management (MBCPM). In 2017, Louisa obtained a certification in Life Coaching from IFC accredited IPEC.

Passionate about self-growth and personal development, Louisa uses her natural teaching skills to inspire her clients to live their most authentic lives through mindful awareness, practicing non-judgment, cultivating self-compassion and incorporating consistent, daily meditation as a tool to manage stress and anxiety. In addition to group programs, Louisa also offers private, one-on-one coaching for individuals looking to improve themselves in all areas of their lives.

The Pain & Wellness Centre opened its doors in September 2014. It is a patient-centred, interdisciplinary specialist medical pain clinic that aims to treat pain and preserve wellness. It is comprehensive, uses a whole-person approach, and offers choices regarding treatments that range from Psychotherapy to Chiropractic, RMT Massage and more. It bridges eastern and western medicine, always using best practice guidelines and evidence based treatments, and offers multiple programs and services under one roof.
