Mindfulness
Louisa Mailis is a Mind/Body Coach and Director of the Mindfulness program at the Pain and Wellness Centre.
Louisa helps clients cultivate a strong mind/body connection, so that they can be fully present and engage with life in a meaningful way. Understanding the power of the mind is crucial for overall health and wellness, as thoughts, emotions, perceptions and judgments impact the level of stress, anxiety and pain in the body. Through meditation, breathwork, mindfulness, and other self-contemplative practices, her clients gain a better understanding of themselves, which ultimately allows them to feel more comfortable and confident in their body. The result is living life with more health, happiness, joy, purpose, and fulfillment.
Louisa received a BA and MA from York University and a Masters of Education. Louisa has a certificate degree for Applied Mindfulness and Meditation at the University of Toronto and is also a trained facilitator in Mindfulness-Based Chronic Pain Management (MBCPM). In 2017, Louisa obtained a certification in Life Coaching from IFC accredited IPEC.
